The safety and well-being of our guests and staff are the highest priority at the Gehlen House Inn. As we all continue to monitor COVID-19, we want to make you aware of the measures we have implemented to help safeguard the health of those visiting.
We are asking our guests to call us prior to your arrival and we will talk you through your check-in over the phone.
We want you to know that we are doing our part to help our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc,) in the shared spaces. Individual rooms are being cleaned and sanitized per CDC standards.
We are also providing only single serve, sealed or wrapped food items for breakfast and snacks (sorry, no more cinnamon bread from the nuns) until further notice.
If you are staying more than one day, we can pick up trash and used towels and provide new supplies at your door, if requested. We will not be entering your room during your stay.
We have requested that guests take a break from shaking hands and hugging the owners;
We encourage guests to wear masks when in the common areas of the guest house;
We are encouraging guests to wash their hands frequently;
We have increased regular deep cleaning and disinfection schedules of all spaces within the building, including railings, door handles, light switches, etc.
The owners are the only staff who are entering the building;
We encourage guests to stay home if you feel unwell or believe you may have been in any of the areas where you could possibly have been exposed to COVID-19.
