Barn Parties
The Gehlen Barn offers a number of uniques spaces to host parties , small events, family reunions, yoga classes.... the list is endless.

At our venue, you have access to the barn, guest house and surrounding grounds. An 18 x 36 ft deck offers great outdoor space.
​
Beer in the Barn Brewery is now open in the barn, with beers made on site and from around Iowa. Special beers can be ordered for your event or party with advance notice.
​
Catering
The Gehlen Barn does not offer on-site food options for parties and events, but we are thrilled to have the option to offer catering from the famous Kalmes Restaurant right across the street.
​
The Kalmes family has served the Luxembourg community of St. Donatus for over 160 years, with four generations of experience, so we are confident that they can meet your catering needs.
​
While we support our neighbors, we also invite you to explore other options for your catering needs.

Music and Events
We are happy to announce that the Barn now hosts local bands and musicians! The accoustics are amazing, with the sound resonating from the stone walls, with additional viewing from the loft.
​
The Gehlen Barn is also host to other activities and events (craft fairs, barn tours, open houses, etc.) so make sure you follow us for those!
